So far it is the hit of the neighborhood

I bought this for my 4 and a half year old son. It comes with a lot of accessories. The strap is the ideal size for kids 8 or older so we do not use it. The stock handle is removable and also better suited for 8 years and older. We also do not use the silencer. I really liked the flashlight that attaches to the gun, it is a blue light that is not blinding when it is shined into another child's eyes. Unfortunately, it broke. The kids were trying to remove it and obviously didn't know how so they forced it off. Luckily I have another light from a gun that we don't use and it also fit on this gun. After they broke the flashlight I explained to all the kids that they have to respect the toy (ex. do not just drop it on concrete) and it will last a long time. The sound effects are really good!! Press the trigger lightly for a single shot and hold it in for automatic. We are really having a lot of fun and I will buy more of these types of guns.

Good for costume only, Not suited for play

My daughter wanted a gun she could play swat and spec ops with. But within the first 24 hours the sling tore out of the attached place on the gun. And the shoulder stock of the gun broke off. It is made of flimsy plastic. I suppose it would be good for a costume accessory but not tough enough to play with.

Cool toy but easily broken

It's a cool toy, but the plastic is not built to stand up to any degree of standard 7-10yr old boy play. Of the two we have, large doses of superglue were required within the first week to keep our SEALs at play.
